Today's Post Brought to You By the Letter Q

Today on Silk Stocking, we are doing a salute to the letter Q. There are some great 'Q' words out there; this one is my personal favourite:

quis⋅ling
/ˈkwɪzlɪŋ/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [kwiz-ling] Show IPA
–noun
a person who betrays his or her own country by aiding an invading enemy, often serving later in a puppet government; fifth columnist.
Etymology: after V. Quisling (1887-1945), Norw politician who betrayed his country to the Nazis and became its puppet ruler
Basically, a quisling is someone who will sell out the country they live in for their own advantage.

Now, let's use quisling in a sentence:

David Suzuki is one of Canada's best know Global Warming quislings.

Now you try it.

Quisling =

Diefenbaker sold out our aero
technology to U S by cancelling the aero.

Mulroney sold out to U S with the free trade agreement.

Harper looking to sell out our
nuclear technology, now that a agreement is signed with India.
I would assume it will be to the
U S again.
