Some more proof this has been cooking for a while

Thanks to Tim Powers, through the Silver-Powers blog we have this from the RedStar dated October 13, 2008. You know - the day before the election.

Along with remarks he made on election night, it is abundantly obvious that Bob Rae was not prepared to accept the verdict of the people.

Angello Persichilli presents a more compelling case for Rae being the one pushing this through the Liberal Party, backed by Jean Chretien no less.

Keep digging folks! There are things, like Gilles Duceppe's contention that 2 Billion dollars should be taken out of CMHC's reserves and thrown out on an 'affordable housing' program:

Exemple: prendre 2 milliards dans la caisse de la Société canadienne d'hypothèques et de logement. Ils en ont 8 de surplus. Avec ça, on pourrait lancer un vaste programme de logements abordables. Ça fait travailler le monde dans la construction. Et en plus, ça répond à un besoin social.

Translation: For example, take 2 billion dollars from the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation. They have (an) 8 (billion) surplus. With this, we can launch a vast affordable housing program. That will create jobs in construction. More than this, it answers a social need.
Given how long it takes to hire a contractor, at least where I come from, jobs in the construction sector are not an issue. What exactly is M. Duceppe proposing here?
